We are glad to announce the new release of Zentimo 1.7.5! It’s mainly a bug fix release, find below the list of changes:
- The device menu might be displayed when user launched TaskManager (Win 8) or Customize tray icons dialog (Win 7, 8)
- The SATA system drive was displayed in the list by default. Now it’s displayed only when you enable the option “Display all storage devices”
- The program rewrote AutoRun section of the registry on each startup causing some registry protection or antivirus programs to abuse
- Some license keys weren’t accepted by the program
- In some case the technical error might be displayed when displaying the processes locking a device
How to upgrade? Just download using the blue “Download” button and run the installer, it will do the upgrade automagically. If your upgrade subscription is over feel free to extend it.
I really like Zentimo. I am very happy with v1.7.1 and there has not been much in the way of updates; either in quantity or new features/fixes to make me want to upgrade.

I am only disappointed, that it took so long to discover the AutoRun registry section overwriting.
My power laptop started to boot very slowly somewhere around the beginning of 2013, so that I got control of it after 2-3 minutes! I have been suspecting various programs, uninstalling and reinstalling them, including the Kaspersky antivirus software itself, but it did not help. I have never suspected such an apparently innocent software, like Zentimo, but most probably I have found the culprit …
The sad part is that in May 2013 my 2 years long upgrade subscription expired. I wish Crystal Rich would allow me to install this bugfix update. I would not call 1.7.5 version an “upgrade” in this context …
Do not we all? Your subscription terminated close to year ago. There has to be some cut off date. To be reasonable I paid for my subscription upgrade.
I agree that bug fixes should be free and this update appears to be mainly bug fixes. I strongly support your position.
I do not have any of the issues mentioned in the update list of corrections. Why fix something that is not broken? I choose not to apply the update at this time.
The upgrade affecting the registry might be worth the upgrade to the new version. I will have to think on this.
Programs affecting the scanning of the registry , including antivirus programs, should load very early a in the start up process. This is the only feature of the update that affects me.
I feel I should not have to pay for Bug fixes.
Perhaps the Author would re-consider this version as a free upgrade?
