LockHunter version 2.0 beta 1 released!

Jan 26th, 2012

We are happy to announce availability of LockHunter 2.0 beta 1! The new version contains many frequently asked features such as command line support, unloading DLL files, copy & rename actions and more. Read more below or download it now.

Command line support

Now it’s possible to call such LockHunter’s actions as ‘Unlock’, ‘delete file’ and etc from the
command line. Very useful for using in your scripts or to integrate to other programs. Read
more
on how to use the command line.

Copy & rename actions added

Now you can not only delete a stubborn file but unlock and copy or rename it in one action.

UI improvements

Improved look and feel, ability to see the version information, and more…

Unloading DLLs from the locking processes

If the .dll is loaded from a specific folder you wish to delete or just
unlock now the program allows to unload this .dll without terminating the process.

Full Explorer context menu integration

Now 64 bit installer integrates the item of the Explorer’s shell menu into both 32 bit and 64 bit applications.

Bug fix

  • No more “DeleteFile failed;code 5” error on re-installation of LockHunter
  • The locking processes continue displaying even after successful unlocking

Future plans

We are planning to release the stable version soon and add portable version, multilanguage support and
of course fix bugs that will be found in this beta. Feel free to contact us
if you have any notes, bug reports or feature requests on LockHunter!

Update from Feb 18th (2.0 beta 2):
